So I went to make a payment cashapp said they canceled it for my protection but would not and still 21 days later have not given me a reason for the cancelation. They said the money would go back on my card 1-3 business days again it's been 21 days total still nothing so I call my card issuer and they say there is zero cancelations or voids or refunds he literally told me cashapp was lying to me so in summation cashapp are nothing more than thieves stealing people's hard earned money and I think it's a joke that they can get away with taking money from people I'm telling everyone I know and anyone I see that pulls out a cashapp card that if they haven't been got yet then they will and they should cancel anything cashapp on their devices and use someone else there are plenty of other companies like chime, venmo......etc! Cashapp sucks and I see why Google users have given them 2 stars but personally I think 0 stars would be fair.

I was emailed a letter about the cash app identity theft from a employee. Now all I use cash app for is sending my grandson a few dollars $25 to $30. Every 3rd an after the investigation I was screamed at by a male employee of my gambling problem an my account permanently closed. So I ask for transactions receipts and they do not have to show me anything according to them.

Let me first set the scene. On Tuesday, June 18, 2024, I was sent $75 via Cash App. Cash App charges a fee for immediate withdrawals, which I am aware of, but they also offer the option to wait for the money to be deposited within 1-3 business days without a fee. I chose to wait, expecting the deposit to be made today, Friday, June 21, 2024.
However, when I checked my bank account, there was no deposit. Upon reviewing the Cash App, I noticed that they had changed the deposit date to Tuesday, June 25, 2024, still without a fee, now extending the wait to 7 business days.
I contacted their support through the app, and after reviewing my account, they basically implied that I would be paying the fee. I understand there are fees, but it is unacceptable to promise one thing and then change the rules in mid-game. As a consumer, I am simply following their stated rules. I am outraged and frustrated and want this to be brought to the forefront. I informed them that I would be reporting this issue because I am sure I am not the only one experiencing this. Changing rules arbitrarily is not a good practice.

This app and service has more reasons for it's dirty reputation than just the fact of their legal entanglements for aiding and abetting the illicit drug trade. I recently used the app to transfer a cash payment to a relative. Rather than to transfer the payment after withdrawing the money from my account, they are trying to extort my relative into paying all kinds of fees to receive the money and are holding it hostage until he pays. I'll be going to my state attorney general tomorrow about it. They refuse to talk to me because I am not a "verified customer" (i.e. I refuse to give the scumbag scammers my personal info) but they had no issue at all withdrawing the money from my account without my being a so-called verified customer. Avoid these scammers like the plague - they are illicit, dishonest and a band of thieves.

If I could give zero stars I would. This company (should be renamed to scam app), much like its former CEO is dead. They are deliberately stealing and withholding client funds for weeks while blaming merchants for the situation.
For instance, I stayed at a hotel and they placed a hold in the amount of $100.00 on my Cashapp card which they released the day I checked out and the money should have been put back in my account. However Cashapp kept the money out of my account for what ended up being 17 days. The entire time I spent dozens of hours trying to figure out who was living to me regarding the funds. Keeping in mind this was over the Christmas and New Years holidays as well as my birthday was 3 days before Christmas. Money was already tight and this basically ruined any personal plans I had for my birthday and scaled back the rest. I had the hotel draft a letter 10 days into the process validating they released the funds. Cashapp support not only ignored the letter they sent a lulling text liing about it. When I pursued the issue they literally withdrew from the conversation. This is common for financial companies that are going out of business. Truly anyone who uses Cashapp is ignorant and/or simply just does not care whether or not they lose their money. I plan on filing a complaint with the Minnesota attorney general and will be looking for the class action lawsuits that will eventually start in the next year or so. Truly an absolutely garbage company that should not be allowed to continue making victims while the money they steal is sent across seas to another country. If you work hard for your money and/or just value yourself as a person you will avoid this company and any company that has anything to do with Cashapp as to participate in creating you as 1 of their victims. I plan on posting the communication as soon as I redact the personal information and they allow me access to the previous conversations. This may not happen because I have been locked out of my access to this because I am certain Cashapp is trying to do some redactions of their own thinking (like all criminals do) that they can hide the truth so they can continue to steal from hard working American citizens.
