After visiting this location multiple times, my main complaint is that it’s too crowded. The equipment is limited compared to the Rockefeller location. However, it has a great view of the trains and Jersey. Unfortunately, there’s no executive lounge

Friday night was as empty as a town still under covid lockdown. Most members are usually there for show and not for working out. Many are playing with their phone. One guy texted himself back and forth 🧐 It’s just surreal. At least a third are not who they say they are. Exaggerated finances and wealth vs reality of them living in a subsidized NYCHA Building or shared group dormitory style homes. The well dressed with allegedly purchased $$$ clothing but managed to pickpocket other members. Or the knockoff handbags purchased from Chinatown street vendors but claimed to be the genuine. But the top award definitely goes to the know it all who knows nothing. Always that gossip queen at a gym but have no evidence of whatever they say. At least 1 out of 10 are there to find a wealthy nepo or grandpa to finance their lifestyle. Why work when you can just get someone else to pay for it? Too many wannabe influencers and employees from different locations working out on their off time. So yes we know who the employees and struggling actors are even if they lie about their job titles. It’s a hotel style gym with minimal amenities and equipment. Always broken and not repaired for weeks. Theft is prevalent especially around the holidays. And it’s not those perceived as looking poor or being a minority who are thieves. Maybe leave your EBT card home if you’re dressed in a $$ Lululemon and pretending to be rich. Men’s locker room is tiny. No sauna in the men’s locker room. They recently switched to Grown Alchemist. Lots of complaints about it. Corporate workers engage in forbidden steam room and sauna activities. If they’re fit and hot, those grandpas would certainly noticed. But the idea of having to suffer through minutes of seeing prego bods and wrinkles are undoubtedly a permanent eyesore. The steamy air won’t make them look better. The top awards in the steamy air go to those who manscapes, urinates, and clean their ends while leaving brown colored liquids everywhere. Group classes are at the level of Orange Theory. Indoor pool is inconvenient for members. 3 out of 4 lanes are usually roped off for classes and personal training. Hot tub is a health hazard. Cold plunge is hardly ever cold enough. Pilates room is the size of a closet. Outdoor pool is no longer heated during the fall and winter seasons. Outdoor saunas are usually broken, slimy or reserved for the unstable taking meditation classes. Front desk employees are often rude and obnoxious. Trainers have poor interpersonal skills. All in all it’s not worth the $$$ membership fees.

The pool area at this gym at a glance is nice looking but between the careless hotel guest and honestly most the the gym members, it is one of the least sanitary places I’ve ever seen, I’ve watch members go straight for a workout class into the cold plunge and jacuzzi, with no shower in between, and the “lifeguard” just sits there with phone in hand and not a obligation in the world and never have I seen them once suggest the the expected hygiene guidelines to the hotel guest that jump in, in their briefs or boxers or the ladies in there work out gear. Really disgusting stuff

I had a surprisingly disappointing experience at the spa. I treated a close friend to a spa day to celebrate something important in her life. We each had facials and a massage. Three of our four treatments were wonderful, and the fourth was quite bad. When we checked out, we were asked how our treatments were, and we shared details about the one bad experience. The associate who helped us agreed to have the spa director contact us to discuss this further, but never did. Unfortunately, they sent the receipt for our services to my friend instead of me, which was awkward because I paid for the day as a gift. The bill was over $1600. I expect stronger customer service from Equinox, and certainly at this price point. I won't make the mistake of going here again.

Nice views. Great equipment. Good lounge area for remote working. Terrace pool is great for summer. It also has a steam room, an indoor pool and cold plunge. During winter time the outdoor saune is very nice as well.

Great equipment, friendly staff, clean facilities. Only downside is it can get crowded. But people are courteous about working in so it’s not a big deal. Beautiful setting.

Beautiful Luxurious Gym with an unobstructed view of Manhattan and the water. This is the flagship Equinox location and offers outdoor barrel Saunas as well as an outdoor heated pool overlooking the vessel. More amenities include an indoor hot tub and pool, cold plunge, pilates, free classes, lounges and a lot more. Having a membership there is worth every penny.

Crowded during peak times. The outdoor saunas don't stay hot because they aren't wind proof. Weightlifting equipment is very basic. The indoor lap pool is great, but the hot tub is full all the time.
