I am happy to report that things at the GDIT/CSRA ITC in Bossier City are improving! There's been a lot of changes, lately. Upheaval in the workplace is stressful for both the staff and management, but, fortunately the recent changes have been different, since VP Omar Bhatti began to implement his personnally crafted strategic vision. He saw the need to awaken and invigorate our existing shell-shocked/change-averse teams that were being shepherded by glassy-eyed leaders who had already coaxed, coddled & whipped their people through two mergers, an acquisition, a re-organization, a re-structure, another merger, another acquisition and (you guessed it) another re-structure over a 5-6 year period. With three Bossier City sites supporting multiple, critical federal contracts, it was a huge, risky undertaking to design and then execute a plan to simultaneously increase revenue, reduce costs, retain talent, create a separate and well-defined Technical Services Division, convince GDIT senior leadership that the solution for problem programs (operated in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area) was to bring those troubled programs to North Louisiana, all while dead-lifting the 800+ battled-scarred, tired and nervous Bossier City GDIT workers UP the mountain, ABOVE the clouds and finally, ON to the grand SUMMIT, from which they could see & be inspired by Omar's vision. Why WE believe is because OMAR truly believes. But faith alone won't get you to the destination, it just helps you leap onto the train. It took Omar's vision first, then his tireless work, great strategies, amazing personal skills (used on the ground in Bossier, persuading managers and staff members to 'come on board') and it also took literally countless phone calls (consuming hundreds of hours) to change minds and talk down barriers. These were thought barriers inside GDIT, client barriers to relocating work on their programs, say from Virginia or DC, to a town they'd never heard of in Louisiana, of all the places! Resistance at HQ, at many levels, fearing that the failure of this bold initiative would cost so much to recover from, that the potential benefits couldn't be justified. Yes, Omar Bhatti certainly is a bold and adventurous executive on his way to the top, due to his self-confidence, brilliant business mind and VERY GENUINE concern for the average IT person working for this LARGE company. He has been delivering on his promises and deftly executing his plans, transforming our downcast, dog-tired tech-force into a nimble and energized troupe of acrobats, with stars in our eyes, anxious to get out on the stage and make the world believers, too.

A huge boost to Bossier City's economy! Bossier is becoming a tech hub with huge thanks to CSRA! They also serve delicious Rhino coffee in house and food from the Jason Bradley group. They obviously want to take care of their employees. The dress is casual and everyone has on jeans. They also have pool tables and a nice courtyard. Probably a very awesome place to work!

I worked there for a couple of years, and they offer fair pay for the market, depending on where you start and what you can offer. If you really like I.T. and have an interest in computer science, get skills and education. BPCC college is next to them and offer programs that fit the education criteria into some of their jobs.

I work as one of the cleaners there. The workers are very nice people. I hear they make good money too just taking calls for people who have computer problems
