Nurse practitioner Hugh Maxwell listened to my symptoms, offered a possible diagnosis, provided pain medication that delivered some relief, and gave clear instructions for treatment and next steps if things don’t get better. The staff was nice and helpful too. Overall, I was there for a couple of hours, but I don’t think that was anyone’s fault — just respiratory and stomach virus season and they were busy. I would return to this location for the quality care I received so close to my home.

The receptionist was courteous, knowledgeable and pleasant, fully explaining any expected wait. Although it was a busy holiday weekend and the wait over an hour, the office staff encouraged everyone to be calm and take their turn for the benefit of all there. The medical personnel that I saw made me proud of their caring efficient attention. I left, pick up the necessary medication & was home with 2/12 hrs. Thanks, Piedmont Urgent Care.

I’ve been a loyal patient at this urgent care for years and frequently recommend it to others in my area. However, today’s experience was deeply disappointing. I spent two hours waiting, watching others who arrived after me being seen and leaving. While I understand some cases may be more urgent, a two-hour wait with no clear communication is unacceptable.
At the 1 hour and 15-minute mark, I politely inquired about the delay and was met with visible annoyance from staff. I was told by the doctor that she was waiting on my "other two tests to come back," yet I was only swabbed for one test. When the doctor finally saw me, I explained that I was there to address concerns about strep in my household and to adjust my antibiotics accordingly. Unfortunately, the interaction quickly became contentious.
The doctor argued with me about a medication allergy that has been inaccurately listed in the system for years. Despite numerous attempts to have it removed and being cleared by my allergist, this misinformation persists. I’ve taken the medication multiple times without issue, yet the doctor dismissed my explanation and instead argued based on outdated information. She tried to "educate" me on why I couldn’t take the medication, citing a molecular similarity. However, I clarified that the medications in question have different side chains, which make them respond differently for allergies, and my allergist has confirmed that I can safely take it. The conversation felt dismissive and condescending.
What was most upsetting was how the doctor left the room under the guise of “checking on things,” only to discharge me without further communication. She issued the prescription based on her initial explanation, completely disregarding my concerns and the clarifications I provided.
This visit was a complete failure in terms of care, communication, and professionalism. It left me feeling unheard, uncared for, and unnecessarily stressed during an already challenging time. I’ve always had positive experiences here in the past, but today’s visit was enough to make me reconsider.
I’ve provided this feedback in response to your follow-up text as well, hoping it reaches the appropriate channels. Patients deserve better than what I experienced today.

Fooled me twice! Complete waste of time and money. Don't bother with Piedmont urgent care because they wont bother with you (unless it is regarding a billing matter). This final visit, I Brought my 4 year old child in on a Saturday Morning with an obvious infection from an abscessed tooth (face swollen and hot to touch) and they could only advise me to escalate with our dental provider on Monday rather than prescribing antibiotic. His face swelling has gotten worse more and painful now so we will have to take him to ER now. Well At least captain obvious gave me his most professional advice (see dentist) and 5 ml of children’s Tylenol which will cost hundreds, on top of the hundreds billed for the crappy visit. The con artist at front counter duped me into paying hundreds towards my deductible and afterward tried telling me that it was the smart thing to do. With less than 20 calendar days left this year? She then tried to finesse me to put my card on file so they could automatically bill me “just in case my insurance wont cover”. Yeah right! I want to know why is it they never have a doctor always a Nurse Practitioner, shouldn't I receive a discounted rate when they cut costs by using lower skilled service providers? Also like to mention how classy it is that they send you a message to leave a review and ask only to leave positive reviews on Google but for any negative please contact Piedmont directly. This is a joke right? Never again!

My son was injured and I called this location to see if they could perform x-rays on site. I was told that they could and they were able to make me an appointment and send me a link to get paperwork completed before I arrived. Once I arrived everyone was friendly and the wait time was minimal, about 5 minutes. We were able to be seen and were seen by Dr. Chris who has amazing bedside manner. He explained things in a way we all could understand and took time to answer all of our questions. The checkout process was seamless and post visit instructions were clear and typed up. Overall great experience and I would refer them to others.

The location is perfect you can't really miss it. There's plenty of parking spaces. The lobby area was very nice and clean. The staff were very friendly and gave me a free mask. I didn't have an appointment and the checking process was fairly quick. If you're planning to come in make the appointment online. Which should make the process quicker.

good experience. clean, friendly, efficient. only 4 stars because of long wait in exam room with no one letting me know periodically how much longer i would wait. Dr. Rivers was very knowledgeable and completed a good and thorough physical exam. Dr. gave me practical advice as well as medication.

Excellent and professional service. The medical staff was very attentive and caring. Doctor explained in detail the condition I had and the best way to treat it. Waiting time was minimal. I definitely recommend this practice.
