Brought a Nintendo Switch here for repair, they diagnosed the issue quickly which was appreciated. Nearly two weeks have gone by and we learn today they haven’t even begun repairing it. No communication without us having to ask them first. They told us they’re down a technician which I understand makes business harder but to not communicate any delays like that is frustrating. We’ve had good experiences here in the past, even recently, but this is extremely frustrating to deal with when we could’ve brought the device to a different shop that could’ve had it done sooner.

Do Not come to this place for switch repairs. brought in a switch to be repaired at the beginning of the year, they gave us a diagnosis and everything, then they held onto it for 2 weeks telling me that they were fixing it. was told today that they never even started working on it, even after multiple phone calls confirming that it was being currently worked on (that was a week ago, they lied).

I'm neither satisfied nor dissatisfied with the service here. I dropped off an SD card to try to recover photos that were just taken on it days before (10GB of photos). I was told it would take a day or two. It took almost two weeks, I had to call 3 times asking about it. I was finally told that they couldn't figure it out, they could see that there was data on the card but couldn't find it. I ended up mailing my SD card to a family friend who does "computer stuff" for fun, he found the pictures and sent them all to me in a OneDrive link after two days ‍♀️

Nice people here, not great at communication though

I brought my son's laptop here twice so far. Both times it was fixed promptly and at a reasonable price. These guys are fantastic at what they do.

Techmate is great! The hard drive on my older desktop computer crashed. Techmate was able to retrieve the data and transfer it to my new computer for a VERY reasonable price. I didn’t lose even one file.

Brought my laptop in last year for a new battery and it took about two weeks to get it fixed and I tried my space bar and it isn’t working and the battery dies fast. I have to keep my laptop plugged in all day long or it dies even if it’s at 90% battery.

Microcenter tried to fix my computer but gave up. Techmate tried and tested multiple parts, never giving up. Fixed the problem with a new graphics card at a reasonable price.

Your typical greedy company that possesses ZERO critical thinking, and because they have no confidence in their staffs decision making skills they implement blanket "idiotproof" policies like, "we card everyone under the age of 80 for tobacco products."

They will not install user bought parts because they claim its a liability, but in reality its because they want to increase their profits by upcharging you on the same parts you can order.

All they need to do is have you sign a waiver that releases them of all liability and acknowledge that there will be no warranty if they install your parts.

Problem solved, angry customer avoided and they still get to charge labor.

Unfortunately these clowns are still operating under 2008 parameters, but I'm glad these 2nd grade drop outs don't like money because DEVICE PIT STOP is wonderful!!!

Night and day compared to this second rate hack shop. If you need computer components repair go to Device Pit Stop in Maple Grove. They fixed my laptops shattered touchscreen with the part I bought off of Ebay for $100 flat in under an hour, and didn't ask any questions or make a fuss about it. Because they have the skills, experience and understood the assignment. Unlike these wannabe "techs.
